Je regret ...

We are heading home soon and our clematis is just about to burst into flower. It’s never had so many flower buds so perhaps the ‘le grand froid’ has been good for it!

I was optimistic that it would flower before we left, and perhaps with some sunshine it might have done …

  1. Sorry you are heading back Gaynor. We only arrived here earlier this week, and I am looking forward to a long spell of daily excitement as I see something new developing in the garden. So I understand you dismay at missing the clematis. Safe trip back, and hopefully you will return soon. J.

  2. I noticed yesterday how many buds it had. Do you want me to go over and photograph it in all its glory, or will that just be rubbing it in?

    1. Thanks for the kind offer but it would mean clambering over the gate!

  3. I used to find that I would be watching something and thinking it would either fruit, or flower before I left. It was so frustrating when it didn't so I feel for you. Susan's photo would always help. I am glad that at last I don't have to go back...... is that also rubbing it in! Diane

  4. I was going to offer to do the same as Susan... it could end up being a very photographed clematis :-)

Safe journey home and see you in June.
